We stayed at Chris’ place to celebrate our grandson’s first birthday party. The location was ideal for us & exactly as advertised. We’ll be back to stay in the spring/summer when we can enjoy the beautiful deck, fire pit & kayaks.

Our family had a wonderful stay at this cottage. It was clean, it had a well-stocked kitchen and comfortable rooms to sleep. The check-in process was easy and everything was easy to find in the home. Our kids loved the ping pong table. The hot tub was especially lovely as the weather was a bit cooler than we had hoped for! Again, a lovely visit and we would highly recommend. This is an excellently kept AirBnB and a really kind and thoughtful host. We had forgotten some belongings behind and were quickly notified and he offered to ship them back to us, making our life so much easier and solving a problem that could have been a headache! We will be back in the future!

The view from this place is very beautiful, especially sunrise on the lake… Place was very clean, had everything we needed. We were able to enjoy this place on a sunny as well as rainy day, as view is visible from living room.. I am going to go back with friends again.

The cottage was spacious, cozy, and well equipped. It was a wonderful way to spend a weekend and has plenty of space for lounging, comfortable bedrooms, a well-equipped kitchen, and plenty of outdoor space and seating. We had a great stay with everything we needed!

We had a great time at Andrew’s cottage. The place is lovely and super clean. Andrew’s instructions to reach the cottage were very useful and clear. We spent all the daylight hours in the backyard by the river - what an amazing space - so many different options for just sitting around!! My whole family loved kayaking in the river (current is not strong) - kayaks, paddles and life jackets (even kids size) were provided. Our 5 year old loved the trampoline. Sunsets were spectacular. The cottage itself is super comfortable, very clean, comfortable beds and well equipped kitchen. The living area has a large picture window - perfect to sit by, sip a hot drink and watch the geese on the river when it is still cold to be outside. Overall great stay and would love to come back for a longer duration.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay! The accommodations were comfortable, beautifully decorated, and had everything we needed to feel right at home. The location was perfect. Every detail was thoughtfully considered, making our experience truly special. We can't wait to come back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable getaway!

Jane’s cabin was perfect for our family getaway! We enjoyed the view of the water and taking long dog walks in the bush. Sitting in front of the log fire with my coffee was my favourite thing. Jane was very responsive and helpful letting us check in early. We highly recommend Jane’s cabin. We had a fabulous stay.

The location was very convenient—close to the highway, which made it easy to get in and out of the city. There were plenty of shopping plazas nearby for anything we needed. The apartment was clean, quiet, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The hosts were welcoming and very responsive. Would definitely stay here again!

Sam was a great host and quick to respond to our questions. It was a great location with walkable food and shopping. I would stay there again and recommend it to others travelling there.

Diana was so generous! She left food for us in the fridge and on the counter -all the essentials plus bread, milk, peanut butter, jam, and much fruit. This place has a lot of character -a sunroom with antiques, generous room sizes, something for every age - toys and books for babies and children, games for teens and smart TV for adults. The large backyard and short walk to the river are so peaceful for nature- lovers. This home is close to very interesting boutiques and historical sights on Carleton Place’s main street. Such a blessing!

The location was peaceful and perfect for a family getaway, with plenty of space to enjoy time together. 10/10 would strongly recommend this place to anyone looking for a charming, comfortable, and well-cared-for home. Our family truly needed a getaway, we sadly had an unexpected death in the family and needed some time away from the “real world”. Gilles’ cottage was a blessing, it had everything we needed and more, tons of space for our toddler and dog to play, the views of the lake were spectacular. The grocery store and SAQ were a short ten min drive away as well. Thank you Gilles for sharing your space with us, we hope to come back in the summer.

We had a wonderful stay at Eliane’s place! The cottage was very comfortable, very spacious, well decorated and very clean. The place is very quiet and peaceful and has a beautiful view on the Ottawa River. We would stay there any time again.

Kelly’s place felt like Grandma’s Cottage, in all of the best ways possible. It felt like a home away from home. Everything is well thought out, with touches of vintage decor and boardgames. It felt like a blast from my childhood and was really special watching my son play with toys I would have played with as a young kid. My whole family felt comfortable and thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub, bonfires and cute town of Wakefield. We would definitely recommend and would rent again! We had a great time. The place was well equipped and very cozy. We were very impressed on the cleanliness of the place. We had a great time as a family and are thankful for the hospitality we received. We highly recommend this place and hoping to go back soon.

We had a wonderful stay! We had gloriously warm, sunny weather every day, with not a drop of rain. It was just the two of us so we opted to stay in the beautiful, cozy boathouse. It had everything we needed. The summer kitchen is basic but very functional and served our needs. The boathouse is very private and the surroundings were quiet. Just be ready for the stairs down from the main house/parking area. They’re steep but well lit, with lots of handrails. There’s a very cool screened building halfway down too. The swimming is fantastic - it’s deep off the dock and the water was really clear. Every day we swam, lounged on the dock, had coffee on the balcony, took afternoon naps, BBQ’d, and enjoyed drinks by the campfire. A truly restful vacation. James was a great and very responsive host. We highly recommend staying here!

As a host Charles was one of the best I have dealt with on AirBnB. He was always quick to respond and he checked in regularly to ensure everything was going smoothly. The property was very clean, very well equipped and I can't think of anything I would have required that wasn't already provided. The location is easy to find and provides good privacy. There is a well stocked grocery store that sells beer, wine and spirits that is only 5 mins away. I would not hesitate to recommend staying here and I plan on returning in the near future.
