The cottage is in an unparallelled location just 150 yards from "the best bit" of Hadrians Wall at Walltown Crags and directly opposite the Roman Army Museum. There is a bus stop right (services include AD122) outside. We are perfectly located for walking, visiting the sites along Hadrians Wall, stargazing events at Walltown & Twice Brewed as well as visiting the lakes & Scottish Borders

Swinburne Castle is perfectly situated within its own beautiful parkland and gardens. Traditionally decorated, parts of the house have tremendous history dating back to the 12th century. The east wing is extremely comfortable and private, and don't be perturbed by the stone steps leading down to the vaulted cellar. A delicious continental breakfast will be provided in your rooms. There is ample parking and a tennis court you are welcome to use. lovely footpaths from the house for keen walkers.

Charming interior with fitted kitchen, shower room and cosy bedroom. Hadrians wall is just a short drive away or travel further afield to the Heritage Coast, Alnwick Castle. The Great Border City of Carlisle or a shopping extravaganza in Newcastle. A lovely cosy self catering lodge what ever time of the year.

The flat consists of an open plan living room with a double sofa bed, well equipped kitchen, a shower room and a large bedroom with a double bed and a single day bed. Both the living room and bedroom both have views onto the market square. The cosy living room has a sofa, two chairs and a fold away dining table for eating at.
