You will have a 5 minute walk to the beach, a 5 minute drive to Ballyconneely village and a 10 minute drive to the seaside village of Roundstone. Many beautiful walks are possible from the house, especially start with a walk in your own garden, there are many hiking trails. There is plenty to do by the sea (seals!)

Ballindooley Castle

The Castle rests on about half an acre of land with Ballindooley Lake lying to the south west. It is surrounded by low walls and hedges: with a gated entrance controlled by an electronic security system. Features include 3 murders holes and a dungeon The castle was built by the DeBurgo family (approximately 1480). It had the distinction of being shelled by the British Gunboat ” Helga” during the1916 Rising to disband rebels
