We had an absolutely amazing stay! The photos don’t do justice to how lovely a home this is. There were nine of us who stayed here and not only was there enough space for us to comfortably stay here, everyone only had good things to say about the space and the surrounding area. Bronagh was extremely responsive to any questions we had and was very generous with letting us check in late. Overall I couldn’t recommend this home or host enough!

Rachael's cottage is wonderful - we stayed six nights in the Spring and it was delightful. We especially appreciated some really nice welcoming touches such as some fresh flowers and chocolates for our arrival. We also appreciated the comprehensive heating system the cottage has - it was a little cold outside but we were always snug and warm inside the cottage. Rachael also has two wood burning fires with plenty of wood provided and even some coal as well. The kitchen is also very well equipped with a modern oven and cook top. All in all a lovely stay in a lovely cottage in an amazing area - stunning views and in the Spring, tons of tiny and cute lambs right outside the front door! We will happily come back!

Large newly built house in a stunning location. We enjoyed watching the swifts/swallows from the large windows, also views of Orkney. The hot tub and extra large bath was a very welcome addition. We would recommend staying here rather than John O Groats. Harrow harbour was in walking distance and was stunning . We enjoyed watching the seals here from afar. Also visited the most northerly point - Dunnet head with fantastic views. Took a wildlife boat ride from Wick and spotted puffins. Jay was very responsive and friendly to messages. Thanks Jay for a memorable wedding anniversary ❤️.

Great location, good restaurants near by and a few bars were open even on a Monday night. I will use again.

This place is special. We had stayed before so we planned and had a bbq in the hut. I swear you could do it with snow on the ground and it would still be toasty inside. The chalet is so well designed with no space wasted. Blinking love it.

A perfect getaway! The Annex was well equipped with everything listed and surroundings were stunning. Stays very warm even in the winter and there was plenty of wood to have the fireplace going as well

Brilliant location, very comfortable and everything we needed.

My husband and I stayed a week at the Fisherman’s cottage. We had a wonderful time and would go back. It’s in the old part of Stromness about a 10-15 minute walk from the ferries and Stromness Travel Center which worked perfectly for us. We loved the quirky, unusual and fisher feel of the cottage and adapted quickly to the stairs and other quirks. It’s smallish but totally functional for two. It’s probably not a good choice for folks with mobility or stair issues, but aside from that highly recommend it.

I didn't think it was possible, but this holiday home is even better in real life than the photos. Beautifully decorated, with homely touches so it doesn't feel cold like some holiday rentals. Everything was very clean and lots of modern touches ( like a great coffee machine, ice dispenser from the freezer and obviously the amazing hot tub). The views are fantastic, with a panoramic view of the amazing landscape. Kathleen was lovely to deal with and helped with a few restaurant recommendations. Would highly recommend!
