Very clean space, quiet neighborhood, love the covered parking

The place was exactly what we were looking for, to get away and do some spring hiking. Vanessa was great with communication.

We enjoyed our stay, the house was clean and well cared for, our hosts even sent their cleaner over for a freshen up before we arrived. The kitchen was well stocked with all we needed for cooking meals, including a cookbook we enjoyed. One of the best things about this house is how close it is to Starved Rock, Buffalo Rock and Mathison parks!

Nice place in a nice neighborhood. Wifi was amazing around 500Mb/s, so perfect for the days when I had to do some work at the house. Kitchen was a little light in what was stocked, there was only a few plates and bowls but at least there was a dishwasher with enough detergent that it wasn’t really an issue. Other than that, great place.

We had a great short stay. Great location with many amenities. Nice decor and layout. My kids had fun with the foosball, air hockey, and swing-set. Beds were very comfortable. Would definitely stay again for a longer duration when back in the area.

Super cute place, great to get away from the city and only 10 minutes from starved rock! Cool antique and vintage stores around the area as well, maybe 20-25 minutes out. Beautiful home with lots of space. Responsive & friendly host!

The place was great for our families stay. Cozy and great size. Kids were able to run outside and we used the fire pit for s’mores. Able to enjoy dinners at the house and explore Starved Rock area nearby.

Place was great, it met all of our needs. Host was quick to respond to anything. I would come back again.

Beautiful views, great layout, and extremely dog friendly with nice touches make this place stand out! Very close to all the state parks in the area, but there’s plenty to do on site as well. Check in was seamless, we had clear instructions throughout, and the place was perfect!

It was a great stay for me and my son and his wife and my two grandsons. The boys loved all the games and us adults really liked the pool table. Didn't get to enjoy the pool while we were there cause it was too early in the season, but all in all a really nice place to relax. It's got everything you need there minus the food of course.Give it a shot you won't be disappointed.

We really enjoyed our stay. The house is in a quiet, pet friendly neighborhood with lovely views of the river. Everything we needed was provided and we liked the layout of the house. Regarding sleeping accommodations, there are beds for 6 people (2 queens with twin bunks above each) and additional sleeping options are provided via a pull-out sofa and 2 futons.

We come from Chicago a couple times a year to hike at Starved Rock, Matthiesen, etc, so we thought we would try staying for a full weekend. This place was the perfect fit. It was pet friendly, so our dog could come along, and it had great amenities at the resort. The staff was very responsive and easy to communicate with.

Great little house! Thank you to Matt and Stephanie for making us feel at home while we travel for work. The neighborhood is quiet and Over all great communication from the host. Definitely worth the pricing and location!

Cozy home in a walkable area! I found it comfortable and an easy drive to local parks, like Starved Rock. My RAV4 pulled into the steep drive without issue and local trains weren't disturbing. Would return!

This home was a perfect fit for our visit to Illinois from California, we came out to spend Easter with our Daughter and Grand Babies and it definitely had enough space for our big family. We also had plenty of things to do although the weather was not quite on our side we did have a nice enough day to enjoy the outdoor furniture and BBQ grill. The kitchen had all necessities needed with a cute coffee bar. The game room was pretty awesome as well. There was a park within walking distance and we were able to enjoy that as well. We were grateful to enjoy a small Easter egg hunt in the front yard for our two babies and niece and spend this amazing family time. Very safe and peaceful neighborhood!!!

Very clean and close to plenty of restaurants down town. I will gladly stay there again when I am in town for work. This was way better than staying at a hotel and the owners were very accommodating.

Our stay was fantastic! The house was even better than we imagined — beautifully decorated with stylish 50s/60s-inspired decor that gave it such a fun, unique vibe. We especially loved the two separate game room areas, which kept everyone entertained for hours. Everything was spotless, cozy, and well thought out. Theresa made the whole process so easy with great communication and thoughtful touches throughout the home. We honestly didn’t want to leave! Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a memorable and comfortable stay. Thank you again

House was great. It was built over 100 years ago and nicely renovated. Kitchen supplies and amenities were high quality. The host are super nice and friendly. If you are a light sleeper, you are next to train tracks and road intersection where you can hear the train whistle loudly in the middle of the night as well as the cars going over the railroad constantly with a double thump. The upstairs shower stopped working, so we ended up only having one shower. If those things don't bother you, I would recommend this place.

We just had a great stay at Shelly's place. It is really spacious and clean. The beds are quite comfortable. Highly recommend!
