Apple House - an exquisite bohemian retreat

Apple House is a quiet retreat, a place where you can completely unwind. Standing in the gardens of Hylands, a fine Arts and Crafts House, to the West of Kendal it is decorated using quality local materials and skills of local crafts people. It has beautiful views to the wildlife garden; pond, kitchen garden and the hills beyond. Apple House is 12 minutes walk from Kendal town center's many independent shops, cafes and restaurants and 5 minutes walk to our local pub 'The Rifleman's Arms'.

We offer guests a contact free stay in our detached studio suite in the Lake District.To refresh the studio and to complete intensive cleaning we block off a day either side of every booking. The studio has a king-sized bed, dining table & chairs, a very comfortable sofa, TV, lobby, wet room, small kitchenette with mini-fridge, microwave, toaster, tableware, cutlery. Patio doors open on to a private sun terrace overlooking the garden and surrounding fields. Parking next to the studio.

Located within the heart of the friendly village of Lindale, which has a local pub. Lindale offers spectacular views over the Levens valley and Howgill fells and is an ideal base for those enjoying walking, mountain biking or simply relaxing. Rock Cottage retains many original features such as flag floors, beams and exposed stone walls.
