Monique was very friendly and responded quickly to any queries before our stay. The house was beautiful and spotless and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend.

This is a great property in a really well located village, convenient for people wanting to walk either the Pennine Way or trace the route of the Kinder Trespass. The village has lots going on for its size, with shops, pubs and restaurant. The property itself is spacious and well- laid out - each bedroom was big, and the master bedroom is huge! Downstairs there is a large lounge, dining room and kitchen with everything you might need. Very good place to stay.

Really lovely home, very short stroll to the village centre which has some great restaurants and shops. Our 16 month old really appreciated playing with the wide variety of children’s books and toys and on the children’s slide & swing in the garden. Would stay again!

We had a lovely stay. The house looks just like the pictures and had plenty of space for all of us. The location is great for getting into central Manchester, and Jordan and Tate were responsive and helpful throughout. The only thing to keep in mind is that there is only one bathroom, but this was clearly mentioned in the listing, so we were prepared. Overall, a very nice stay. Thank you!

Great house in a great location. Spacious, clean, warm and comfortable. New Mills is a lovely little town to potter about in, lots of independent shops and cafes, interesting river walk and you can pick up the Sett Valley trail here. There is a gem of a theatre opposite the house - catch a show if you can. From the house, you can easily drive to the Peak District - fantastic landscape, walking etc. Would thoroughly recommend this house.

Lovely stay, very comfy beds and a powerful shower! Easy to walk to the high street.

He is very responsible and support, such as early check in and real extension of the stay. He is very kind and supportive. We enjoyed the property!!

We only stayed at Carolain's place for 1 night but found it to be a great apartment. Perfect location to the Aviva Centre, and very responsive hosts.

I’ve stayed at this property several times now as I needed to be back near my childhood home. Any issues are always sorted very promptly and it has been literally a home from home for me. Thank you so much. I’ve loved each time I’ve stayed at the Old Red King.

Beautiful apartment, extremely well furnished and fully equipped with everything you need. We stayed for 3 nights and absolutely enjoyed our stay. The beds were extremely comfortable and kitchen was fully stocked up. The apartment had everything you could ask her, and every bit of useful information was provided. There is a 'free' station car park outside and we were able to find a space each day of our stay. Jane was extremely prompt and forthcoming and provided us with detailed information to access the property. The only thing I would like to mention is we found a bit of dog hair on the sofa, which could have benefited from a bit more attention during cleaning. We would happily come back for another stay.

A lovely stay in a great place with a kind host! The walk up the hill in the evening to watch the sunset was fab. And there were little lambs. Very quiet location and property exactly as described, nicer than the pictures. Thanks for the stay!

Lovely apartment, clean, tidy and offered plenty of space for us (2 adults, 1 child and 2 dogs). The property was really warm and cosy even without the heating on. We found it very easily and chose to park in the car park directly outside the property (was about £7 for 48hrs) although had our car been a little smaller we could have easily parked in the space provided. The best bit of this lovely property is the perfect location. It’s right on the doorstep of some fabulous walks, we didn’t need to use the car at all to access some great views. If you like viaducts this is the place for you! The property is equally in perfect distance from the facilities that New Mills offers, with a 2 min walk to supermarket and take aways. Hosts were quick to respond to my en route enquiry with a friendly and helpful reply. We’d happily stay again !

We had a wonderful stay with Mark and Janet—everything was fantastic! All the essentials were available, and the place was clean, cosy, and very comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our two-night stay. The hosts were exceptionally kind and accommodating. Thank you so much for your warm hospitality!

Sarah was incredibly helpful and responsive. She was very easy going and easy to communicate with. We felt bad as granddaughter left her toothbrush and we only realised after we’d locked the door. She immediately organised her mum to assist us. She was equally lovely, friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend a visit

Man’s communications were excellent and the stay was exactly what we were looking for. Given the location the price was extremely reasonable for the size of the property. Mak was even kind enough to gift desert which was delicious!

We stayed here for a weekend away as a group of school mates all turning 30. The property was the perfect base for us, providing us with the best possible experience. We’re an active, activity based bunch and this stay had something for everyone. Multiple activities, from the pool table, darts board, table tennis, air hockey, and yes the Pool and Sauna. Many of my friends couldn’t believe just what we had found for this stay. Private use of the pool is a great bonus. All beds were made, fresh linens and towels provided. We used the kitchen to cook our breakfast each morning. There’s ample parking for 3-4 vehicles inside and plenty on street right next to the property, which is a quiet street so not a stress. Whilst the decor is aged, we are not particular on this and found it added to the charm. Plenty of beds, bathrooms and spots to relax. We would stay again! The host was fantastic in communication and response to questions posed and made the whole process easy.
