Most people find it charming, quaint and pretty typical of a small town. Kids love it. Nearby attractions include several wineries and breweries, FDR national park, the Wild Animal Safari, and more. This is an old rustic house. If you leave the doors open, bugs may come in as we are in the woods.

The 13.5 mile trail spans from PIne Mountain to Hamilton with many sights along the way. FDR State Park, Calloway Gardens, and the Wild Animal Safari are just minutes away.

The Hardaway Cottage - An Art Deco Gathering Place

The historic Hardaway Cottage is a very special place. It was built in 1933 on the grounds of the Roosevelt Warm Springs Institute for Rehabilitation within walking distance of Roosevelt's Little White House. This park like property is bordered in the back by the FDR state park. You are two minutes from downtown Warm Springs, but given total privacy on this unique property that is ADA compliant on the first floor of the home.

Simple Living Basics

Simple living at its best. Get away to a small town away from technology and busy day to day life. Previous guests will notice that the home has been rearranged and now has two separate bedrooms instead of just the one large one. Bring your favorite DVDs or board games for relaxing family time at night. There’s no cable or WiFi to distract you. No smoking or pets. Window AC and gas heaters available.
