The Chesnut Cottage is the perfect quaint romantic getaway or rustic writer's retreat. One of three AirB&B listings on our 10-acre property atop Harper's Hill, it is surrounded by woods and a short walk up from the Puget Sound where you can fish from Harper pier or kayak over to Blake Island. The Southworth ferry terminal is just over a mile away providing direct access to both Seattle and Vashon Island. Harper is the perfect base camp for exploring the beautiful Kitsap and Olympic Peninsulas.

Outside there are deck chairs and more by the water along with a meditation maze made from beach stones. The lighthouse is a short beach walk away. The reading and writing room, across the path, is a refuge for solitary study or work. Enjoy the water, marine life and birds here where each season brings new joy and sometimes, excitement.

Enjoy the hustle of the city by day and then retreat to the quiet of a comfortable house perfectly suitable for 6 guests. Enjoy three bedrooms, two bathrooms, kitchen, dining room and deck area. For your security, there is a doorbell camera outside the front door facing the street and driveway.

Enjoy breathtaking sunsets over the Olympic mountains, kayaking, a forest hiking trail with sea and Mount Rainier views, beach walks, and downtown Vashon (less than 10 mins away!). Please note: The parking lot is a few minute walk from the cottage.
