Former home of the Martin Van Buren hunting lodge and more recently, the Hudson Boys Club. 26 private acres with 1500 ft of lakefront: swimming, kayaking and fishing - bring your fishing rod! Now with satellite WIFI, the Cabin at Whispering Pines is a 2 bed/1 bath private home set on 34 acres of mostly forest w/ trails outside that take you through our property, over a babbling brook & right into a 447 acre nature preserve. The cabin is perfect for nature lovers who also want proximity to local ski resorts like Jiminy Peak or Bosquet, the Lebanon Valley Speedway, Tanglewood, Albany, Chatham, Great Barrington, Stockbridge, Lenox or Pittsfield. Lake beach access in summer months.

Overlooking beautiful Burden Lake, the gem of the Rensselaer Plateau, Hummingbird Cottage is a peaceful, comfortable, adorable vacation home. Famous for clear water and year-round fishing, Burden Lake is the largest lake in Rensselaer County. Kayaks & canoes are provided. Centrally located 20 min from Albany, 40 min from Saratoga, 30 min from the Berkshires, & a 1 mile paddle to Kay’s Pizza! See eagles, ospreys, and, yes, hummingbirds! Time travel to 1958 in this architectural gem! This mid-century modern glass and wood cabin is 300 yards away from a charming small lake. The house is NOT on the lake itself, but it is surrounded by trees in a lovely secluded spot. The only heat is a wood stove... but there is a 4-person cedar barrel sauna in the woods that is electric. A classic 1952 Spartanette travel trailer serves as an extra bedroom. This is a true retreat for romance and adventure.

Lake House in Averill Park, NY

Our lake house is on Glass Lake in Averill Park, NY. In case you want to venture off, it is close to Saratoga (race season!), the Berkshires MA, Albany NY, and Vermont. Incredibly private with spacious property. Our lake house is great for families with kids and couples, and handicap accessible. It is great for any season (leaves, skiing, fishing, swimming). Kayaks, row boat.....and the lake!! Booking guest must be at least 25 years old.

Nassau Rustic Family Size Cabin: Vintage 50s Stay

This 4 room bungalow is vintage 50's. A rustic simple soothing place to escape and decompress. 100's of acres- sit by the pond or enjoy the fire pit, hike for hours and enjoy all nature has to offer. We have 3 bedrooms w/shower/bathrooms, a "kitchenette" with dining room and cozy common living area. During COVID we are limiting occupancy to reflect the concern we all share. Therefore, you may enjoy privacy. Trails are shared with ATV's.
