You can see lots of boats, a wide variety of native wildlife, sunrises, and more. My home is in located on a private, unpaved road, situated directly on the water. It offers a peaceful and private setting with amenities including two zip lines, two rope swings, a boat ramp, and two docks. Guests can enjoy hunting, fishing, boating, jet skiing, or simply relaxing with serene river views. This is a private residence; please treat it with care. Use of the porches, swings, and zip lines is at your own risk. The back deck has no railing to preserve the view. Wi-Fi is excellent

The Artist's Cottage

Guests must be 21 or older. Two guest max!!! Also, I get a lot of requests for small pets. Due to safety and health concerns, I cannot accommodate any pets at all. That includes service or support animals. I live on the property in the main house. Cottage is behind house. No 3rd party booking allowed. The person checking in must be the person that booked and the person that's name is on the account. If you are interested in booking the cottage. No smoking/vaping of anything inside cottage.

The Empie-Possion Cottage is located in the heart of historic downtown Wilmington, NC. The cottage is three blocks from the water and a 10 minute walk to the heart of downtown. The Empie-Possion cottage was built in 1913 and is expertly restored. Have a drink on the screened in patio in the back or on the historic front porch. Come enjoy a stay where you can truly unwind. This one of the most unique homes you can stay in Downtown and you feel it’s charm the minute you step in the door.

We are centrally located near Emerald Isle, Hammocks Beach State Park, Camp Lejeune, Croatan National Forest, and historic downtown Swansboro. Lastly, we are a veteran owned and operated business.
