(Edit 22/12/25: Unfortunately we were affected by the recent fires in Dolphin Sands. Our block was burned, but the Lighthouse itself was saved by firefighters. The home is spacious and private, yet surrounded by (harmless) local wildlife. You will see many wallabies grazing on the property.

A great place to stay if you are visiting Maria Island, Port Arthur, Richmond, Hobart, Swansea, Coles Bay, Freycinet or Bicheno which are able to be done as day trips. A very relaxing, comfortable, private and quiet home for one person or groups up to six. Recently refurbished with a coastal/country vibe. Great outdoor areas and cottage garden. You instantly feel “at home” at the blackshack. Please Note: Our very last booking weekend will be the 5th June 2026 to allow us to prepare for the sale of our Airbnb/home.
