One minute's walk away over a Victorian swing bridge is an enchanting pebble beach. Here you may see seals, dolphins, salmon, and plenty of seabirds depending on the season. Ideally placed for the North Coast 500, this modernised cottage is warm and cosy with central heating and hot water provided by a biomass boiler, and a wood burning stove for cooler nights.

This fully furnished one bedroom, first floor flat is beautifully situated overlooking Wick Harbour and has views out to Wick Bay and beyond. It is within walking distance of all local amenities including shops, cafes, bars and restaurants. The award winning Wick Heritage Museum and the famous Old Pulteney Distillery are within a short stroll. There are also beautiful coastal and river walks within the area where you may be able to catch sight of whales, dolphins, puffins and many other animals.

If you enjoy stargazing you’ll love it here on clear nights as there is no light pollution - and if you’re staying in winter you may be lucky enough to see the northern lights.

Shormary Cottage enjoys a wonderful coastal location, enjoying spectacular views towards Dunnet Head, the Pentland Firth and Orkney Isles . Direct access to the shore is offered where you can explore rock pools, build sand castles or gather shells on the beach below. Why not pick up the binoculars to watch the wildlife? Is that a seal, a dolphin or even a whale? As for the birds (too numerous to list here!) the favourites are herons, buzzards and puffins. HI-00301-F

Sea Breeze Apartment Wick NC 500 Route

Sea Breeze Apartment is right next to Wick Harbour and Marina. Built in the 18th century with a Barometer on the outside wall to advise fishermen of weather changes. Guests have full use of the entire apartment. Gas central heating, electric shower. 1 large bedroom with 1 double and 1 single bed also a double sofa bed in the living room . Fully equipped kitchen with use of washing machine and tumble drier.

It sleeps 4 people and is available to rent all year round. This coastal cottage is part of a traditional croft-based smallholding in Caithness with views of the Pentland Firth, Orkney Islands and surrounding countryside.

Sitting adjoined to an old steading building, we love the history that this property holds.

Pentland View Caravans is part of the John O Groats caravan and camping site. Situated in the heart of John O Groats on the North Coast 500 with breathtaking views across the Pentland Firth to the Orkney Islands making it a perfect base to explore Caithness and Sutherland. The Swift Burgundy static caravan is 28 ft x 10ft. There is 1 double bed and 4 2 foot 6 inch single beds.
