Yorkshire : séjours à la ferme

We stayed here this week with my sister and family and there was ample room for us all, we LOVED having loads of bathrooms and a huge kitchen and the pigs, peacock and chickens outside the kitchen window were a constant source of entertainment for the kids (and our dog!). The setting is beautiful. It’s so peaceful with gorgeous views over the countryside. We will be back next year!

Four of us stayed at Tina’s beautiful home for 3 nights whilst visiting the area for a wedding. The location itself is utterly gorgeous with stunning views from the back garden. It has everything you need for a comfortable stay with touches of real luxury. The bathroom especially is pretty special with the lovely freestanding bath and plenty of fluffy white towels and complimentary toiletries. There are plenty of places to eat and things to do in the area, but Tina’s place was so lovely, we all just wanted to enjoy the home, play games, cook dinner in the huge, luxurious and extremely well equipped kitchen and enjoy a few drinks in the garden in the evening while taking in the views. The basket of treats was a lovely touch, as was the bottle of wine! Three days really wasn’t long enough and we didn’t want to leave, but we hopefully get to the opportunity to go back and explore the area a bit more. Tina is a great host, very friendly, communicative and welcoming. Thanks Tina! ⭐️⭐️⭐

We had the loveliest weekend staying at this beautiful converted barn. Philippa could not have done more to make sure we were well looked after, from making sure the house was warm and well-lit to welcome us late at night, to dropping off fresh eggs from her chickens for our breakfast. We felt instantly at home - the beds and sofas are really comfortable, the space is beautifully done-up, and our children had the most wonderful time watching the horses, chickens and cats from the windows. A really special place to stay and I could not recommend it more highly.

We had a lovely stay on Neil's farm. The house is comfortable and the scenery is stunning. Neil is very welcoming and knowledgable, he took the time to show us around the farm and answer all our questions about farming life. He was also very kind to our two year old daughter and she loved her time on the farm.

Lucy's place was lovely! Great for an Easter getaway. We went up to Thors cave and there was a helpful guide on local walks attractions etc. The place was spotless and very cosy, we had everything we needed and felt like a real home away from home. Lucy came over right away when there was a slight problem with a radiator and had it fixed immediately. Would definitely recommend and would love to stay again 🩷☀️

Kayleigh and Sue were super friendly and made us feel very welcome and at home. This cottage is great for a family get together like ours. We had a family wedding in York and drove in on Saturday but on Sunday we used the park and ride which was perfect. Did some sightseeing in the area and had the cottage to relax at in the evening. It was peaceful and beautiful. Just perfect and highly recommended. Thank you Sue and Kayleigh

We had a truly wonderful stay at Richard’s barn! The place is located in a beautiful area – perfect for sightseeing and long hikes in nature. The barn itself is cozy and very well equipped with everything you might need to relax and enjoy your time. The indoor fireplace adds a lovely atmosphere, and the hot tub is a fantastic bonus after a day of exploring. The location is ideal – peaceful and quiet, yet close to many great trails and local attractions. Richard is an absolutely lovely host – super friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. I can wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway in nature with all the comforts. We’ll definitely be coming back! Zaneta and friends plus dog

Absolutely fantastic stay for my daughter’s 10th birthday. The house is so spacious we absolutely loved it! Great for playing outdoors and dog walks The house had everything we needed and the cookies baked for arrival were delicious. Washing machine and tumble dryer also came in really handy! The bedding smelt fresh and the house was so cosy and clean! Absolutely 💯 reccomend

just outstanding. An amazing place fitted out and decorated to a very high standard. Add to that the preparation by Nicky to make everything perfect, so much food left for us to use, details right down to filling the kettle ready for us. it couldn't be better.

Excellent AirBnB with great hosts. Thoroughly enjoyed our two nights at this idyllic cottage. Location was excellent - easy reach of motorway, Lakes and Yorkshire Dales. Can't fault anything and certainly hope to be back in the future.

An incredible place, i’d happily live here! Couldn’t recommend it more; clean, quiet yet modern. The space is perfect and beds are comfy. The hot tub is big and warm and it’s a beautiful location. The hosts have clear instructions and made the process smooth. Beyond happy with my stay here :)

Bella's barn was perfect. It had everything that we needed and it was cleaned to a high standard. Kev went above and beyond to help us out. We had a fabulous time and would highly recommend ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Nice place- great fire, plenty of fuel. Comfy bed. Nice village with good pub -King’s Head, with good food. Good walking nearby.

There isn’t a single bad thing I can say about this property. My girlfriend and I decided to escape city and enjoy some peace. We found exactly the right place. It’s extremely private and surrounded by the most surreal views. Moreover, there is plenty to explore/do nearby. Restaurants open late, canal walks, ice cream, cafe’s ext and the majority is dog friendly. Speaking of, the host is flexible with pets so long as basic rules/standard politeness is kept which is ideal considering there is ample opportunity for serene dog walking. The property was also ABSOLUTELY SPOTLESS. Everything was amazingly clean, neat and dust free. In conclusion, I am well rested and refreshed from my stay which is exactly what I was looking for. Thank you Mel for a brilliant stay.

'Hog Barn' was all that it claimed to be on Airbnb, it was quite simply 'luxurious '. Well designed and appointed with what struck me as top quality equipment, all set in the beautiful surroundings on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors. Comfortable and clean and most of all still cosy. Robert came out to greet us on arrival,we were a party of four reasonably elderly people,he was very friendly and answered our questions,even sorting out our tv connections. We stayed here from 28th April to 4th May,the weather was beautiful and we would not hesitate to return here soon and would most definitely recommend 'Hog Barn' to our friends. Thank you Robert.

We enjoyed a lovely few days in this well-equipped accommodation. It is very comfortable, peaceful and has amazing views. Easy to find following Lulu’s comprehensive instructions and we would definitely stay here again.

We enjoyed a lovely Easter weekend break at Tom & Jess' barn - where every day felt like a Sunday! Peaceful, with no agenda and long dog walks. It was exactly what we needed and I have to say, that we didn't venture too far as the barn was so homely and cosy and conducive to movie nights, puzzling and cooking family meals together. Our dog Sam whose recall can be a bit hit or miss, loved the open fields for tearing about and we could relax, knowing she couldn't escape! We slept like babies and our mother-in-law loved waking up to see the horses grazing in the field! We are often in the Lincoln area so will definitely be back for another dose of Brandicarr Farm relaxation! Thank you!

We had an incredible stay at this gorgeous barn! The setting is absolutely picturesque, with beautiful views in every direction — perfect for relaxing and unwinding. The barn itself is cozy, stylish, and full of charm. We especially loved the hot tub, which made the whole experience even more special. Everything was peaceful, quiet, and just what we needed to recharge. We would absolutely return and can’t recommend it enough!

Fantastic place to stay, lovely and cosy with the log burner and nice Christmas decorations. Fantastically equipped kitchen and with bathroom/shower and a bathtub too! Location is great for walks. Pam was very communicative and made everything hassle-free. Highly recommended!

A beautiful cottage in truly stunning surroundings. There was everything you could possibly need to feel right at home. All of the instructions were extremely clear which was so helpful. Sarah was really responsive and happy to help with any queries. I couldn't recommend The Long Barn enough!

Out second time staying, this time at Tanyard Barn, last time in Tanyard Cottage. This stay was just a lovely as the last and is faultless. Michelle is so helpful. When visiting York we will always stay here as close enough to the city but within a countryside, village setting. Have already recommended both properties to friends.
