Had a great stay in Forrest over Easter. The house was great - clean and comfortable and with everything we needed for a relaxing time. The location is perfect - just near the Forrest Brewery (which was a delight to visit) and the General Store. The Autumn leaves made everything very picturesque around the place and there were even koalas in the trees up the road! Looking forward to returning!

Colleen and David’s place is great. On the sea side of the hill you have a great view out the ocean from the balcony or from the lounge room. The place is as described and the pictures are correct. Colleen and David are responsive hosts. The beach is easy to walk to, use the pathway down through the garden, following the square stepping stones.

Best views by far of any place we've stayed in, glorious views of the sea and the bush all around. We spotted koalas, kangaroos, wallabies and many native birds near the house. The three separate living areas made this a brilliant place for a large family group as it was so quiet for sleeping and playing games separate from others when needed, but there was also a really lovely big shared living space. The local coastline is stunning, with a 5 minute drive to the coast and 10 to a good patrolled swimming beach, and scenic drives to both Lorne and Apollo Bay. Brigitte was super friendly, responsive and easy to deal with. We won't forget this unique stay.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this cozy cottage in the countryside! From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the serene beauty of the surrounding landscape. The cabin itself is warm, inviting, and thoughtfully decorated with charming rustic touches that made us feel right at home. The hosts went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. They provided clear instructions for check-in, and a handy guide to local attractions. One of the highlights of our stay was the outdoor hot tub. The peaceful countryside walks were just what we needed to unwind and recharge. If you're looking for a tranquil getaway with all the comforts of home, this cottage is a must. We can't wait to come back!

Absolutely loved the Ply House in Apollo Bay. It was the perfect long weekend to get away from my friend and I. We tossed a coin to determine who got the queen bed and who got the bunk… both slept extremely well! The house is beautifully appointed and would highly recommend it for anyone who wants a peaceful getaway that is imminently walkable from the town centre. Shane was a great host - very friendly and responsive with communication. Highly recommended!

We loved our stay at Haven Retreat . The house is so beautifully set up and we loved the fire pit outside where we enjoyed gazing at the stars and even got lucky to see a shooting star. The kitchen is well set up and enjoyed our breakfast and dinners at home. Kids got excited to see kangaroos hopping by in the mornings. The closest Coles/aldi/woolies is in Colac which is 20 minutes away. And Lorne is a 30 minute drive. Would definitely come stay again if we are in the region. Loved the welcome of local chocolates and a bottle of wine.

Great little cottage in a beautiful bush setting. Plenty of space for two couples, with comfy beds and everything we needed for a relaxed stay. Peaceful location, yet still an easy drive to Lorne. We really enjoyed our time here!

The cabin is situated in a Big 4 park which means that it has access to amazing activities and facilities to entertain kids, and even a small kiosk for my morning coffee and muffin. The cabin really suits a family, it has two living areas, and a great kitchen. There is a filtered view of the ocean and the walk into town along a beachside path is lovely and only about 2 kms. Apollo Bay itself offers many places to eat and there are lots of interesting places to visit. Our host was very responsive when alerted to a couple of issues and all in all we had a great stay.

It was a great stay along the Great Ocean Road. We enjoyed being able to see koalas and kangaroos.

Amazing place if you want to disconnect from the busy life of the city. Would recommend!

Just what you want to get out of the hustle and bustle of the city. Clean, quaint, and peaceful. Also feeding the parrots was a huge bonus :)

We had such a wonderful stay at Jan’s place! From the moment we arrived, she was incredibly friendly and welcoming. She took the time to show us around the property, which was a lovely touch and made us feel right at home. Jan went above and beyond to accommodate us and our pup—she provided everything from a dog bed to wipes, which was so thoughtful and appreciated. The cottage and gardens were absolutely immaculate. It’s clear Jan takes great pride in the space, and it really shows in every detail. We especially loved relaxing in the sauna and outdoor bath after a long day of driving—such a perfect way to unwind. Sunny was a definite highlight too! We couldn’t recommend this stay more. Thank you, Jan, for such a memorable and comfortable experience!
