"CRYSTAL SUNRISE", walk or drive to ICW or Beach!

Our space is a newly remodeled two bedroom, one bathroom mid century home, all on ground level (two steps to get in and out). The new beach color paint scheme and beach themed accents let our guest know they are on holiday/ vacation at the beach. When you come back from a long day out soaking up the sun, playing in the sand, and site seeing, you have a quiet, clean, cool place to eat, shower, and rest. The living area/ den, has a brand new 55" smart TV with wireless wifi. We have a library of DVDs and Blu-ray disc, too include kid friendly movies. The bedrooms also have smart TVs, incase some want to watch something different. There is no cable TV included. With the smart TV you can access your NETFLIX, HULU, PRIME TV, whatever you may have a membership with. We supply Beach towels, bathroom towels, sheets, and bed spreads. This is a BIG PLUS because some homes don't offer this service. There is a private studio/ office/ Apartment attached that has no access for guest, only used by host. We stay in it on occasion. We do not bother the guest in the house unless we are needed. All that is ask of our guest is that they treat our home as though it was their home. Please respect and take care of all contents, so we can keep it as nice as it was upon arrival. Please remember there are guest coming in after you. Recliner for watching the waterway. Desk & fast internet to work remotely. Down: kitchen & washer/dryer. Private walkway & entry to the Studio. EZ parking, even if towing. Breakfast items are included for your use: Eggs, English muffins, Oatmeal, Grits, various teas & coffees, and Reverse Osmosis water.

Adorable OKI guest suite ~ walk to BEACH

Come stay at our peaceful guest suite where you can walk to the gorgeous beach in minutes! It’s only half a mile from the closest beach access as well as grocery stores, restaurants, cafes, ice cream shops, bars & parks. After a day relaxing at the beach or visiting local sites, you’ll love using our outdoor shower(w/ hot & cold water) & sitting outside in our private guest sitting area with your fav evening beverage. You can also grill up a meal on the charcoal grill. We hope to host you soon!

We’d love for your happy beach memories to be made here at our cottage by the sea, The Whimsy Whale. Our island cottage is perfectly placed under a canopy of magnificent live oaks, about 300 steps away from the ocean. Nestled on a quiet beach access street, central to all the best attractions, shopping and eateries on Oak Island; close to attractions in Southport. It is one of our favorite places to spend time together and we look forward to sharing it with you, your loved ones and friends.

Oak Island Beach Guest Cottage

If you love being a short walk to the beach this place is for you! . We provide beach chairs and a cart for your 5 minute walk to beach. Eat in kitchen and you can serve your honey breakfast in bed. Farmers market around the corner in the summer months as well as concerts every Friday night, Tennis courts, pickle ball and splash pad in the same area to cool you off. We offer Wi-Fi and Roku. . Gas fire place on back porch. Indoor fireplace use is seasonal.
