Our island cottage is perfectly placed under a canopy of magnificent live oaks, about 300 steps away from the ocean. Nestled on a quiet beach access street, central to all the best attractions, shopping and eateries on Oak Island; close to attractions in Southport. It is one of our favorite places to spend time together and we look forward to sharing it with you, your loved ones and friends.

Just 2 blocks to the beach, our vintage Oak Island home has been fully updated and is the perfect space to get away from the every day and find your own island oasis! In the desirable Yaupon Beach area and a 5 minute walk to the beach, a par 5's distance from the Oak Island Golf Club & a few doors down from a bakery & wine shop. Happy's Place Downtown Southport

This is my uncle Happy's place. It is in historic downtown Southport, walking distance from restaurants, shopping, and the Cape Fear river. Located on a quaint alley just off the town's main street, this happy little cottage is nestled among large live oaks and in the shadow of Southport's iconic water tower. The home has one bedroom with a queen bed. The living area has a twin bed and two chairs. There is a full kitchen and small bathroom. Southport’s beautiful waterfront and parks await.

Large living area with coffee table, chair, couch and desk. Games and books for your enjoyment. WIFI & Smart TV, outdoor shower, beach bikes and chairs. Patio area with Adirondacks.

Take a break and unwind at turtle time. The apartment is a 5-minute walk to the nearest beach access at the end of the street with no busy streets to cross over. Approximately a 0.5-mile walk from the Oak Island Pier and within walking distance of a few restaurants. Relax in the hot tub or dine outside on the patio. This cozy one-bedroom one-bathroom apartment is the perfect size for a couple's getaway. We allow dogs with prior approval upon booking request for an additional fee.

Myrtle Beach and Wilmington are both within an hours drive. If you prefer to relax, you can sit on the 10' x 22' deck just outside the kitchen door, or by the fire pit, on a rocking chair or the swing in the open back yard, which is ideal for playing fetch with your dog.
