We’d love for your happy beach memories to be made here at our cottage by the sea, The Whimsy Whale. Our island cottage is perfectly placed under a canopy of magnificent live oaks, about 300 steps away from the ocean. Nestled on a quiet beach access street, central to all the best attractions, shopping and eateries on Oak Island; close to attractions in Southport. It is one of our favorite places to spend time together and we look forward to sharing it with you, your loved ones and friends.

Southport's Canary Cottage

Southport's Canary Cottage is a newly renovated southern, cottage located in a small, historic town along the Cape Fear River! Canary Cottage is located 1 mile from Southport, 2 minutes from the ferry's at Deep Point Marina & 20 minutes to the Oak Island beaches! While in Southport, enjoy the shops, the majestic Live Oaks, dine at fabulous cafes & restaurants with water views, take a carriage ride, watch the boats go by, go on a ghost walk or tour a museum. Southport has something for eveyone!

Modern and cozy studio in a quiet, pet-friendly neighborhood. Five minute walk from multiple restaurants and three blocks (10 minute walk) from direct beach access. Enjoy the sounds of birds and ocean breeze while you grill or relax in the covered breezeway. Bring your wood and build a relaxing fire in our beautiful fire pit! This stylish spot has a kitchenette, full bathroom, closet, an amazingly comfortable bed and sofa! The perfect getaway spot for a couple or a few friends!!

Oak Island Oasis is a newly renovated house that is tastefully decorated and fully stocked with all your beach vacation needs. Enjoy a sunset on our uncrowded beaches, fish, boat or enjoy a nature walk along the Intracoastal Waterway and the Davis Canal. There is shopping, dining, and all the amenities you'd expect in a quaint beach town just miles away from your coastal get-away.

Welcome to "5 More Minutes" beach house located near the ICW and Wooded section of Oak Island, NC. This open-floor plan home on pilings is on the island's west side and features a three-bedroom (three-bath)/two-full-bathroom configuration. Oak Island beaches are a short one-mile walk or drive away. We offer a 6-seater electric golf cart with a pre-paid parking pass to rent by the day. You must be over 21 to operate it. The golf cart rental fee is handled separately from the house rental.

Located just outside of Southport, NC. We are minutes from the beaches and waterfront. Large driveway; ask us about boat and RV parking. Just a short drive to many local attractions, including Myrtle Beach, SC, and Wilmington, NC. Our Guest Suite is completely private from the rest of the house. The home is also on a public golf course. Beautiful views any time of day of the 7th fairway. The suite has a loft that can sleep 2 adults. New this season, a private bedroom with a queen bed.

No stairs to climb, level walkway, and a fully fenced yard are ideal for children, pets (fee applies), and older guests. Lots of amenities and beach equipment are provided.

Dog friendly, recently renovated 2 bedroom home (~900 sq ft) - on Oak Island. ~ 0.3 mile to beach. Within walking distance to Publix, donut shop, Middleton Park , tennis courts and eateries. Includes large fenced in yard for fun with family and pet(s) along with outdoor shower. TVs (WiFi w/you tube tv) in living room and both bedrooms . No smoking on premises. Come enjoy the dog days of summer (or any season)! (House is on pilings so must be able to climb stairs)

The Pink Flamingo is located on the northeast quadrant of Oak Island, ¾ mile from the beach, ½ block to the Oak Island Nature Park on the Intracoastal Waterway, and a short walk to the public boat launch. It sits on a large lot, with ample room to park your boat and the backyard is fully fenced to keep your furry friends safe! It is in a quiet neighborhood, a short walk/drive to restaurants, family-friendly activities, and shopping.
