Kevin reached out prior to our visit to make sure we had all the information we needed. Upon our arrival, we were greeted by little signs, welcoming us, as well as our dog, by name! The beach-themed decor is super cute! The gated deck area and the screened in porch were great for us and our dog. The community is very welcoming and friendly. Having access to the golf cart was helpful and convenient. We enjoyed the pools and Jacuzzi in the community area. Although it rained all week during our stay, we were able to find fun things to do in Myrtle Beach, such as Ripley’s aquarium, the house of mirrors and the haunted house. We highly recommend crabby Mike’s seafood buffet as a fun place to eat. The thermostat on the AC broke during our stay. Kevin was at the door within about 30 minutes and it was fixed by a professional within two hours. We really appreciated his responsiveness! Kevin and Janet were excellent hosts and we enjoyed our stay at the playful pelican very much!

John got back to me quickly when I had any questions. I could get ahold of him anytime. The place was perfect for our families-enough beds for everyone (8). Plenty of towels and the golf cart was in great shape.

The house was in a beautiful neighborhood. The cupboards were stocked with everything you might need for a comfortable stay. There were even Half-Caff coffee pods—which is exactly what we brew at home! The house was immaculately clean and the bed comfortable. We will definitely book Kathi’s house again if we return to the area.

We enjoyed a beautiful week with my son, his wife and two grandchildren. they loved the golf cart rides and the pools. splash pad was awesome. private beach access was wonderful plus May was perfect weather

Maria’s place was very comfortable and really spotless. She made our dog very welcome too. Easy check in and great communication. We had a really nice stay.

This place exceeded our expectations! From the beginning, Matthew was very communicative and helpful. Check in was easy and the place was pristine! We loved drinking our morning coffee on the front porch overlooking the colorful azaleas. My kids loved the 2 twin bedroom and walking to the golf course. The pool was not open yet but is a great amenity to have so close by. It was a super easy, short drive to the Marsh Walk where we enjoyed food and drinks. If I ever find myself in Murrells Inlet I will stay here again and I would recommend to everyone!

Our family loved this house and location - plenty of room, easy walk to the beach, tennis courts out back, friendly neighbors, easy access to restaurants and stores. Jim was responded quickly when we asked for help with supplies. The spring pollen factor was high - so be ready! We washed the decks and chairs and that improved things. We will return!

Nice little get away, seemed more suitable for 4 people but we made 5 work. Kitchen and the walkway between bathroom, laundry and bedrooms was tight but was easy to get used to. Good value and great access to the beach and short drive to town. A+, would stay again.

We had a great weekend. This is a wonderful home and dog-friendly. Our dog was at home and the location was perfect for us. Robert was extremely helpful and great to get to know. The next time we find ourselves heading to Oak Island, we will stay here. Thanks for everything! Ken

We loved our week at Blue Turtle Cottage! It’s bright, clean and charming. Just a short walk to the beach. Leslie and Kay were lovely hosts. We’d definitely come back if our plans bring us to OKI. The king bed is super comfy!. Thanks for hosting us! 💙🐢

The charming and cozy cottage was the perfect spot for our cousin’s weekend at the beach. All the restaurants and beach were just a couple of blocks away. Charles was super quick to respond to any questions and the check-in was seamless. Be sure to check out Nikki’s Sushi- super delicious. Also, Coharie Coastal Boutique is a wonderful shop. Highly recommend the cottage and area.

Great location and very responsive host

Condo was perfect for our short weekend trip. 10 minute walk, 2 minute drive to Garden City Pier, walkable Beach access and very clean and comfortable condo. highly recommend

This place was awesome. The host was amazing as well. We needed some batteries and she responded within minutes and brought them to us within the hour. I was very impressed. I also appreciate the complimentary treats for my pups. We were very comfortable there and I could tell my dogs were comfortable too. Everything is so close by that we never drove by car. We went everywhere in the golf cart which saved us money in parking fees. I will definitely stay here when I go back to Carolina Beach. Thanks for the amazing hospitality!!

Great place and great host

Loved this little getaway. Off the main beach and very little traffic. The place screams “relax”. Loved the outside shower for getting rid of the sand. Most beautiful wind chimes. Short trip to beach and to some excellent restaurants.

If you are looking for a very clean, well kept, fully stocked and cozy home, then this is the place that you need to book. Jenn is a wonderful host and her communication is very timely. There was a storm the week of our stay that ended up putting us one day behind due to flooding. Jenn was very accommodating and quickly refunded one night for us. She could not get to the house to clean due to flooding but asked a friend to assist. We were able to get to the house the very next day and start our vacation. The house is stocked with extra beach chairs, bikes, an outdoor grill, toiletries and any kitchen item that you may need. Jenn was thoughtful enough to have bottled water in the fridge incase you had a long trip. There is plenty of comfortable outdoor seating on the patio. Under the house she has swings where you can enjoy the beach weather and beautiful views of the marsh. Our family has already planned on coming back again next year. This cottage was secluded yet walking distance from many delicious food options and unique local shops. Gretchen was an excellent host and supplied many amenities. Everything was clean and homey. I would definitely stay again.

We really enjoyed our stay. The house has a 'beachy' feel to it and we felt relaxed and in beach mode the second we walked in. The path to the beach was right across the street from the house and the beach location is hard to beat....simply magnificent. Everything we needed from Publix to restaurants was just minutes away. Shannon and I highly recommend this home and we are sure to be back soon! Glenn

Our stay at Michelle and Jason's was exactly what we hoped for. Very relaxing and so much to do around the house. The complimentary golf cart was such a great addition to being able to see everything. When we arrived we had a few questions for the owners and not only did Jason get back to us promptly, he also came to the house and helped us out. Already getting ready to book 2 houses with Michelle and Jason for next year! A 5 Star Stay!!

I couldn't say anything more incredibly positive about the host and our "home away from home" for the weekend. 2 of my friends and I had A&A's place for an event at the convention center, and this sweet cottage was the perfect spot! GPS needs to be updated bc we had a bit of trouble finding it at first, but not an issue at all! While the surrounding neighborhood is a bit rundown and in disrepair (some of the older motels and places toward the beach were a little seedy; I wouldn't have wanted to walk to the beach alone), the cottage complex itself, including this home, is picture-perfect, quiet, precious, and cozy. Instructions were clear, the home was lovely and comfortable, all the essentials were provided, and communication with the hosts was so easy- Annelise was very quick to respond, was kind and friendly with all our chats! 100% would stay here again if/when I travel to Myrtle Beach. Fave extra = the white noise machine in the master was so helpful for sleep... PERFECT touch!

We love this beach cottage! It is right on the beach but also offers a private, shady porch to watch the surf if you've had enough sun. A grill, outdoor shower and hammocks complete the beachy vibe. We have stayed at the cottage three times over five years and hope to go back.
